Recap:

The Findlay Grrrowl fell 6-2 in its opening match against the Wooster Oilers Saturday in the first of two games at Alice Noble Arena but came back and finished the series strong, defeating the Oilers 7-3 in Game 2 Sunday.

The Grrrowl fell behind early in Saturday’s game and could not capture any momentum as the Oilers ran away with the victory.

On Sunday, the Grrrowl performed at their level and overcame the Oilers’ persistent physical play, as Kevin Tejchma’s two goals and Zach Bachnak’s three assists fueled the Grrrowl win to cap the series. The Grrrowl won despite being outshot 55-33 in the game.

Bachnak had two goals and three assists and Tejchma finished with three goals on the weekend. Brock Donnelly added another key performance with a goal and three assists in the series.

Grrrowl newcomer, Lucas Fournier, earned his first win at goalkeeper in a brilliant performance on Sunday with 52 saves, which is already the highest amongst Grrrowl goalkeepers this season. Louis Morin had 20 saves in the Game 1 loss.
