Recap:

The Findlay Grrrowl led 5-1 entering the third period Saturday but let the lead fade into a late tie and a one-goal deficit before a late rally and winning Steve DeGregario score with under a minute to play powered the Grrrowl to a 7-6 win over the Penn Enforcers. 

Kevin Tejchma’s score with 1:07 remaining evened the score at six and rejuvenated the Grrrowl in the final minute. The Grrrowl kept the pressure and with 32 seconds remaining, DeGregario found an open net and knocked it in to clinch the victory for the Grrrowl, who bounced back from a one-goal loss to the Enforcers Friday. 

Tejchma had three goals in the game, and Zach Bachnak and Ryan Chance each had three assists for the Grrrowl, who now improve to 6-6-2 on the season. 

One day earlier, the Grrrowl fell just short after another late comeback attempt. This time down 5-1 entering the third period, the Grrrowl was able to chip away at its deficit but could not come up with the tying score in the final two minutes following Jeff Scherrer’s late goal with 1:54 remaining.   

The Grrrowl out-shot the Enforcers 54-31 and had heavy pressure on the offensive end but couldn’t convert when it needed throughout the first two periods. 

Bachnak had 5 assists on the weekend and continues to lead the Grrrowl with 22 points on the season. DeGregario and Scherrer each scored and had two assists in the series.
